Interim Mayor Silvia Radu announced that the municipality will urgently purchase skid-proof material to prepare for the upcoming sudden weather change.

"We analyzed how well prepared the city is for the next Yellow warning of rain, sleet and frost. We checked our reserves of salt and sand that can be used on streets. It was established that we have enough to last 3-4 days" Silvia Radu declared.

At the session participated official responsible for sectors and the municipal cleaning departments.

Silvia Radu requested them to interfere immediately after the weather changes, to ensure that the streets used by public transport are cleaned, as well as roads leading to settlements from suburbs. The official requested natural persons, as well as economic agents to ensure that pavement are clean.

Meteorologists have issued Yellow warning of snow in Moldova that will be in force to March 23. During this period of time, temperatures will drop to -13 degrees Celsius.
