Municipal councilors have not approved urban planning of the land where Dedeman wants to build a shopping center. Only liberals and independents voted this. 

Other councilors say Dedeman did not come up with solution to traffic jam if the shopping center is to be built. 

The lawyer representing the company S.A. Piele says he regrets the decision and as far as he knows, Dedeman has no other investment plan.

More than 50 old buildings of the former leather factory had to be demolished, and a shopping center with 460 parking lots for customers and green areas was to be built instead.
