Chisinau requests Tiraspol to give up on their decision regarding introducing vignette for the cars entering their territory
Chisinau authorities request Tiraspol to give up on their decision regarding introducing the so called vignette for the foreign cars on the transnistrean territory.
This declaration was made by Cristina Lesnic, the vice-prime minister for Reintegration, after the yesterday intervention of Franco Frattini, special OSCE representative. The payment should be dome for each person entering the territory, not the cars. The cost of the vignette reaches 100 Euro per year.
The same plan regarding the drivers with foreign matriculation plates is been made since 2017 by the transnistrean authorities.
"This issue is not legal for everybody. It is strange that the vignette will be applied for each person, but not for the vehicles", said Cristina Lesnic, vice prime minister for Reintegration.
At his turn, Franco Frattini, the OSCE representative in the Republic of Moldova declared that they are investigating this case.
"This project would affect the free circulation. We will try to understand more details about this project. It is about a 100 Euro sum for a person, which is too much", said Franco Frattini, OSCE representative.
According to the representatives of the bureau for reintegration, the Tiraspol administration obliges the drivers to dive up on the matriculation plates released by the constitutional authorities.
