The first capital's shredder could soon be bought by the municipality. The auction will be held on August 24. For this machine, 2.2 million lei were allocated from the local budget.

The municipality wants to buy a high-capacity crusher. 

"From 40 to 60 m³ per hour. We have to take account of many factors before making decision," said the head of IM. Green spaces, Eliferii Haruţă.

After the shredder from the Republican stadium got burned, the municipality can not chop the branches. Moreover, the rent of such equipment costs 1600 lei per hour.

Over ten thousand trees were knocked down by April snowfall. The branches were taken to several warehouses.
