The Moldovan capital is underway to celebrate winter holidays. Moldovan workers now are arranging the Christmas tree at the Great National Assembly Square. This is the artificial Christmas tree displayed last year.
They then will install the lights and globules.
When asked about the Christmas tree, PM Ion Chicu said: "We will put an end to this scam with three fir trees and two rabbits. We need to look like serious people."
Mayor Ion Ceban said at today's City Hall meeting that the capital will have a single main Christmas Tree. Moreover, the mayor urged the praetors to organize Christmas fairs in all sectors of the Capital.
Publika recalls that on the last year's fir tree were mounted one and a half kilometers of lights for which the city hall paid 160,000 lei.
