A 57-year-old citizen of Romania has tried to smuggle 9 800 cigarettes, of unknown origin, at the Giurgiulești 1 border.

The man hid the contraband in the tank fuel of the car he was driving.

The goods were confiscated and the suspect risks up to a 4 500 lei fine.
