A department chief from Criuleni district hospital was detained after many patients complained that he took money from the people who don't have medical assurance. Now, the doctor is blamed of bribery.

The doctor asked the patients to give him certain amount of money for making the medical service to be faster.

According to the patients, the doctor was taking the money through intermediaries.

He was detained for 72 hours.

If found guilty, he risks up to 7 years in prison, he loses the right to hold any public officers for up to 10 years.
