Low temperatures forced vagrant to seek the homeless shelter from the Capital. To make sure that nobody is left outside, authorities have increased the number of spots. Now, despite being meant for 70 people, it can host to 120.

For those who don't have a roof above their heads, the homeless shelter is the only way to stay someplace warm. Nicolae is 24-year-old and native of Chisinau. The young man lost his house and for a few days now is staying here. He was lately employed, therefore each morning he wakes up early to go to work and returns in the evening.

The young man claims to be happy to have a warm place to stay at: "I found a job. Have been working officially for two days now, the shelter is very helpful until I will receive my first salary. I am very thankful."

Employees from the Center are ensuring that people have everything.

"They gave us everything we need: blankets, clean sheets. We have warm water and can take a shower. The conditions are very good" a homeless woman said.

Here, they can enjoy a warm meal and hot tea: "Today we had porridge and meat croquette. At six in the morning we were offered a pastry and cup of tea."

The homeless shelter has been opened in 2004. Last night, close to 90 people came there to hide from the cold.
