Commercial banks offered cheaper loans in February, compared to the same month from 2017, shows the data of the National Bank of Moldova.
The interest rate in lei was of 9.5%, by 2.3% less than in February last year.
While those who took loans in foreign currency had to pay by 0.5% less, the interest rate reaching nearly 5%.
In February, banks lent over 1.1 billion lei. Most popular were loans that need to be repaid in 2 to 5 years, regardless the currency.
