The Republic of Moldova celebrates its birthday. It has been 27 years since our country is independent. The holiday started with a flower put at the Eternity Complex from the Capital.

Then, the officials went to the monument of Stefan cel Mare and sang the hymn of Moldvoa.

The program continued by a parade of folk suits. 

Firicel de busuioc folk festival from Popestii de Jos village, Drochia district came in beautiful suits.

The artists from Comrat also came in beautiful suits.

"This is the traditional Gagauzian suit", said Erica Opsapun, singer of Cadanja band.

The 27 years of independence celebration took place in a tense atmosphere. While hundred people were participating at the parade of the folk suits, while others gathered in the center of the Capital and organized a protest.

This thing worried some of the participants.

"This is a great holiday for our nation. I don't know why these events happen", said Mihai Popovici, Vatra band.

"I have never seen such hate before", said Veronica Curmei, Vatra festival.

"I came here at the holiday, it is dreadful to attend the protest."

The program of the holiday continued at Nicolae Sulac National Palace with a concert dedicated to the Independence Day. On the stage evolved  Romanian artists.
