Cooling and ventilation systems, modified with support of EBRD Moldova. Who benefit from consultancy
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Moldova has provided support and advice to over 740 small and medium business.
The finance funded by the EU (under the EU4business initiative) and the Swedish government enabled businesses to advance and reach higher level.
Swedish Ambassador to Moldova, E.S. Signe Burgstaller, together with the ASB EBRD team, pay a visit to the northern Moldova to further acknowledge successful stories of beneficiaries.
"Small and medium-sized businesses play an crucial role in economic development, especially in rural areas. Supporting regional business leads to beneficial impact on local development, revenue growth and job creation", said Signe Burgstaller, Sweden's Ambassador to Moldova.
The officials also visited Floresti Butter Factory, ROM-Cris chicken farm, Avicola Teovera chicken farm in Donduşeni, as well as Concor-Fruit coopeative in Ocnita which works in the field of apple sorting & packaging and modern fridge construction. All these companies benefited from consultancy projects supported by ASB BERD Moldova, financed by the Swedish Government.
"Thanks to ASB EBRD's grant, we were able to streamline energy expenditure by 25-30% per kg of product. We have been optimized our cooling system and modernized our existing food ventilation," said Pavel Grigoraş, general manager of Floresti Butter Factory.
Small and medium-sized enterprises can benefit from EBRD's fund, according to the EU definition, have less than 250 employees and a turnover of no more than €50 million.
Enterprises must be registered in the Republic of Moldova and operate according to the current legislation, with at least 51% of private property.
