Anticorruption prosecutors have sent to the court the case of the four illegally sold lands meant for construction works in Bubuieci commune.
Supposedly, officials from Bubuieci City Hall, with accomplices, have used a scheme to illegally gain for free several lands managed by the local administration of Bubuieci commune.
According to the evidence, the officials, along with an accomplice, wishing to steal four lots belonging to the City Hall, found people from other parts of the country and used identical names of people who intended to purchase the lands. After gaining possession of a few lots, the beneficiaries have drawn up a power of attorney in the name of a City Hall official implicated in the plan, who later sold them to third parties.
If found guilty, the suspects risk to spend from 8 to 15 years in jail.
