A 40 years old man from the village of Siret, Straseni district, suspected of having killed his accomplice, was detained by law enforcement, three years after committing the crime.

In February 2016, the police officers were informed that a person's body was on the Odessa-Brest route, in a forest near the village of Micauti. The victim, aged 45, had violent death marks. Ten penetrating wounds in the abdominal region and two in the heart region were detected on the body.

The police found that the victim was aware of the suspect during his stay in the same penitentiary where he was serving his sentence. Come to freedom, in 2015, they formed a criminal group, specializing in committing squabbles in recreational areas, near the forest on the Odessa-Brest route.

Thus, after committing the last common crime, due to misunderstandings in the sharing of money, a conflict broke out between them. Consequently, the suspect planned his murder, fixed a meeting with the victim in the forest, where he killed him deadly.

According to the police, the suspect  was previously tried for various robberies, thefts and rape.

The accused is now under arrest for 30 days. If he will be found guilty, he risks 15 to 20 years of imprisonment.
