Moldovan Ambassador in USA, Cristina Balan had a meeting with senator Roy Blunt, member of Republican Party from USA from Missouri state and one of the most important members of from Committee of Information and Intelligence Service and of Committee of Budgetary Allocations of US Senate.

Ambassador Cristina Balan referred to priorities of Republic of Moldova in the relations with USA, including the political cooperation and potential of strengthening the Strategical Dialogue between Moldova and USA. The interlocutors also had an exchange of views on the latest developments and achievements on the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova.

Senator Roy Blunt affirmed his interest in developments in the Republic of Moldova and his decision to visit Chisinau, which reconfirms the continued opening of the US Congress to deepen bilateral relations with the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, Roy Blunt reiterated the US Senate's firm support for the pro-Western integration objective of the Republic of Moldova.

Ambassador Cristina Balan particularly appreciated the special attention given by the American legislator to the efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and to promote US engagement in the Republic of Moldova.
