Cristina Lesnic attended yearly meeting of Moldovan diplomacy

The deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic attended the annual meeting of the Moldovan diplomacy, which took place on July 9, 2018 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The event was held in the presence of the Cabinet of Ministers headed by the Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
Discussions focused on foreign policy priorities, current developments in our country, and the need to improve external communication.
Within the panel dedicated to discussions with Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic, the representatives of the Reintegration Policy Bureau and those of the Moldovan delegation in the Joint Control Commission, issues related to Transnistrian settlement and regional security were addressed. The diplomats were talked about the latest developments in the negotiation process, the situation in the perimeter of the Security Zone, Chisinau's approaches to the current issues on the agenda, recent achievements and activities to be launched in the near future on the Transnistrian settlement line.
The panel's work was also dedicated to examining the progress made by Chisinau and Tiraspol in the process of implementing the understandings established in the so-called Berlin plus package, as well as exchanging views on the measures to be taken later in order to their final settlement in accordance with their commitments and agreed parameters.
In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister thanked the ambassadors for their support and active cooperation, as well as called for the promotion of the Government priorities and the interests of the Republic of Moldova on the size of the Transnistrian dossier.
We mention that the Annual Meeting of Moldovan diplomacy is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in the period 09-11 July this year. The event aims to examine issues related to the work of diplomatic missions and increase their efficiency, to achieve foreign policy and to set new tasks and priorities.
