People no longer need to submit medical certificate to National House of Medical Insurance in case of more than five sick leave days. Doctors will submit the information online which National House of Social Insurance can have access to. Moldovan Health Ministry has launched this portal on Wednesday. 

"This portal will ease the procedure. People at medical institutions are no longer obliged to fill in registers", said Health Minister ALA NEMERENCO.

Data of certificates issued by doctors starting July 1, 2019 will be introduced in the portal database. The implementation of the project cost 200 thousand lei.

This will be an efficient mechanism of controlling payment for sick leave. Then, the authorities intend to eliminate medical certificates due to online procedure.
