Customs Service and Tax Inspectorate signed a Memorandum on collaboration
The Customs Service and Tax Inspectorate have signed a Memorandum on collaboration and an Agreement on exchange of information. The documents’ objectives are the rebutment of bureaucracy, of illegal economic activities, of tax evasion, and of corruption.
Thus, it is wanted the streamlining of the process of tax collection and additional cashing to the budget.
The agreements foresee the closer collaboration between the two institutions, and exchange of experience and information, including through the access to databases.
The Ministry of Finance has shown its confidence that the signing of documents is a big step towards the improving the work of Customs Service and Tax Inspectorate.
According to Ministry of Finance data, in the first five months of 2016, in the state budget came over 11 million lei thanks to the activities of the two institutions.
