Customs Service collected 365.3 million lei for state budget over past week
During February 26- March 4 2018, Customs Service have brought within state budget close to 365.3 million lei, having perfected in total 8 888 customs declarations.
In the first two months of this year, Customs Services registered an income of 2 billion 686 million lei, registering a 64.7 million lei (or +10%) growth, compared to the same period of time last year.
At the chapter of combating customs frauds, during last week, were revealed 66 attempts to breach the customs law, that are now being investigated by specialized subdivisions of the Customs Service in order to establish all circumstances and set fitting punishments. At the same time, during this period, 53 breaches were fined with total of 133 046 lei.
Over the past week, 50 414 vehicles crossed the borders. The most popular being the crossing point between Moldova and Romania, while most used customs: Leușeni and Sculeni, with 10 137 and 9 884 crossings.
Cosăuți customs and Soroca Custom remain closed. Here, drivers are urged to use other crossing points located nearby, such as Otaci Customs.
