Daily struggle of kids from kindergarten in Floresti
Even if it is cold, or windy, the kids of kindergarten from Japca village, Floresti district have the toilet in the yard.
The institution doesn't have a bathroom, as it is required to have and the authorities shrug off and say they can't afford the costs of such a luxury. In these conditions, the educators should go outside with the children, when it is required.
"They take their hats, the educators dress them up and then, they come back. We would like to have a bathroom inside, but it is not possible now."
"During the winter, it is cold. We put out hat on and then, we go outside."
43 children go to the kindergarten from Japca. The building was built in 1960 and initially there was a storage of the kolkhoz. Even if it has changed its destination, it wasn't adapted to the new requirements.
"We were involved in many projects. We wrote dozens of projects, but those weren't accepted. We appealed the Romanian government and they helped us with 100 thousand lei for furniture", said Elena Galben, the director of Japca kindergarten.
The parents are unsatisfied and say they don't have a solution yet.
"We have what we have, we can't ask for more. If we talk about the bathroom, then this problem will be solved."
"I agree that the bathroom should be inside. They can catch a cold."
The mayor of the village wants to move the kindergarten inside the gymnasium. But, he needs almost a million lei. He counts on the Romanian Government's aid.
"The regional council agreed to help us. Also, the City Hall has some money too. With all these, if we gain the project, we will manage to repair the kindergarten. We plan to move it this autumn. In spring, we will repair it and from September 1, we will move", said Iurie Pascaru, the mayor of Japca village.
The information of National Public Health Center that dates since 2016, proved that over 40% of the kindergartens from the country have the rest room outside.
