The strong wind of yesterday caused grave damages in the country. The firefighters and rescues intervened in 175 cases to extinguish the flames and offer the first aid where necessary.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the wind destroyed the roof of a house from Cobusca Veche village, Anenii Noi district. Also, the roof of the gymnasium was destroyed in this village.

In Mandresti village, Telenesti district, the wind broke 1000 square meters of slate sheets on the school's roof. The roofs of the schools from Larga and Drepcauti villages from Briceni district have also been affected, but so did the kindergarten of Cotiujeni village.

The storm caused damages in Balti, Sîngerei, Soroca, Orhei, Donduşeni, Criuleni, Edineţ, Ocniţa.

The commissions for emergency situations will establish the damages.

At the same time, the strong wind caused vegetation fire in many district. In the past 24 hours, 97 vegetative fires occurred in Ialoveni, Străşeni, Anenii Noi, Leova, Cahul and UTA Găgăuzia.

The firefighters urge people to obey the security rules and call 112 service in case of an emergency.
