Danger for 500 pupils of lyceum from Peresecina. Roof is about to fall on pupils
The roof of a school from Peresecina is about to fall. The school was built in 1969 and there weren't any repair works since then.
This spring, in a class the ceiling was about to fall on the 30 pupils who usually study there. Fortunately, nobody was in the class then.
"I cleaned there. When I left, I have heart a noise and when I entered I saw how a portion of the ceiling fell down", said a chamber maid.
"The pupils were in another building where they made the English classes. I think God saved them", said Veronica Gurduza, teacher.
Anyway, the roof wasn't repaired. At every rain, the water penetrates inside. The chamber maids should put bowls to gather the water everywhere.
Because of the broken roof, the ceiling fell in many places. The worst situation is in the sport class, where a half of the ceiling fell.
"The volunteers repaired it a little bit. The danger that the ceiling will fall is permanent", said Ion Chistol, the director of Alexandru Donici Lyceum from Peresecina.
The parents say that they don't let their children go to school when it rains, because they are afraid the ceiling will fall.
"The rain and the snow is a big challenge for us. In some classes, the water penetrates inside."
"Some of the classes were repaired. Now, they should repair the roof."
For the repair works of the roof, there are required 58 thousand USD.
"We already made the expertise of the building. The experts said the building is in a good condition, only the roof should be repaired", said Valentina Buzu, the deputy mayor of Peresecina.
For the repair works of the school, the Government donated 15 thousand USD. Over 23 thousand were allocated by the administration of the school and the Orhei District Council, the local authorities allocated 3,5 thousands. For the repair works to start there are required 3 000 USD. The Peresecina City Hall hopes to gather those money from the on-line platform guvern24.md.
