According to the National Bank of Moldova, at the end of September, the total amount of deposits from individuals was 40 billion lei, with four percent more than in the same period of last year.The dates show that most people prefer to keep their income in lei. Thus, Moldovans deposited almost 22 billion lei in banks, almost seven percent more than in the same period last year.
In foreign currency, the equivalent of 18 billion lei was deposited. NBM figures also state that people choose, in particular, interest-bearing deposits.
Thus, in lei, the amount is around 20 billion, and in foreign currency - the equivalent of about 14 billion lei.Without interest, over 1 billion lei are deposited, and in foreign currency - about four billion lei.
