David Blaine pulled off stunning magic trick on NBC's The Tonight Show
David Blaine pulled off one of his most stomach-churning magic tricks yet on Wednesday night, sewing up his mouth with a needle and thread before opening it up again to reveal some shocking contents, wrote dailymail.
Appearing on NBC's The Tonight Show alongside actress Priyanka Chopra, the magician pierced his lips with the metal needle before asking host Jimmy Fallon to tie the loose ends to make sure his mouth was fully shut.
After asking Chopra to select a playing card, Blaine then had the threads removed so he was able to open his mouth. There he revealed the correct card and, to the shock of the audience - a live frog.
Blaine began by attaching a line of thread to a needle before seemingly threading it through his two lips, to groans from the studio audience.
After sewing up the right-hand side of his mouth, Blaine forced another thread through the center of his lips, with what looked like blood showing on the fibers.
Pushing the needle into the bottom of his mouth a second time, he asked Fallon to pull it out the other end prompting the host to remark, 'Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.'
After Fallon had tied both ends of the string together in a knot, Blaine turned to a horrified Chopra and asked her to pick a card without showing it to him.
After she had chosen the jack of spades this was returned to the deck.
The magician then removed a corner of one of the cards and handed it to Fallon, before throwing the rest of the deck in the air.
Blaine then got onstage musician Tariq Trotter to cut away the string to reveal the jack of spades inside, still covered with saliva.
At this point Blaine paused and asked for a glass of water, before turning to Fallon and asking, 'Is my mouth empty.'
After several seconds of anticipation the illusionist began gulping until a frog popped out of his mouth and into the water.
Fallon immediately fell on the floor and Trotter while another musician, Ahmir Thompson, ran off saying, 'I have to throw up.'
Fallon live-tweeted the action when it broadcast on NBC at around 9.30pm EST. 'It's all real. People were fainting,' he insisted.
This is not the first time Blaine has pulled off a similar trick - in 2016 he reportedly walked on stage at a Google event in Italy with a live frog in his stomach before regurgitating it and then swallowing it again.
The magician, 42, is on tour starting on May 6 in San Diego.
