Debates on uninominal voting. Speaker Andrian Candu's conclusions
After the second round of debates on the uninominal voting bill, the Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, Andrian Candu, has made the following conclusions:
"We have gathered a lot of material and will continue next week. The attendees displayed various opinions, we are on the goof path.
The dominating opinion is to establish the criteria of outlining the constituencies.
Solutions must be found for the electors coming from the Transnistrian area and representing ethnic minorities. But they will not have a quota.
Speaking about NGOs, 5 NGOs do not represent the entire society. We have 100 representatives of different social layers.
The Foreign Ministry informs us that some country forbid holding foreign elections on their territories. The Central Electoral Commission informs us the e-voting may be used in 2018 as a pilot project,” the Parliament President said.
