The man who killed a woman and then threw her corpse into Dniester river was commended to 20 years of imprisonment. Despite this, attorneys believe the punishment to be too light and demand for the term to be extended to 30 years.
At the same time, prosecutors pleaded the court to make the murdered pay moral and material compensation to the victim's family of over 100 thousand lei. The assassin was taken into custody in June.
According to the investigation, the two have drunk alcoholic beverages after which they begun fighting. The assaulter took everything the woman had upon herself, afterwards he beat and strangled her. In order to hide any evidence of the crime, the man disposed of the body by throwing it into the river.
The suspect has fully admitted to his crime and even retold everything that happened with details.
Earlier the man was already trialed for various other crimes, as well as two murders.
