Ilan Sor stays in house arrest for another 30 days. The decision was taken by Buiucani trial court.

We remind that at the end of June 2016, Ilan Sor was arrested in the framework of a new penal case. He was accused of fraud and money laundering of huge proportions.

On 5 august Chisinau Court of Appeal has decided placing Ilan Sor in house arrest, but the prosecutors did not agree.

During the last two trials, approximately 2,000 residents of Orhei protested in support of their mayor.

They were asking for the release of the mayor.
