Delegation from Moldova visited sacred places in Israel
Prime Minister Pavel Filip, along with four other Ministers, are currently on an official visit to Israel. After they have met on Thursday with multiple officials, the delegation has visited sacred places and laid flowers at Yad Vashem. In order to commemorate the victims of Holocaust, Prime Minister wore a kippah during a special ceremony.
The size and design of Yad Vashem is impressing. One of best part is without a doubt the dome with the pictures of crushed Jews, as well as the shoes that managed to be saved from destruction. After the trip, Pavel Filip has signed the guests of honor book.
"I wrote of the sights that impressed the most, paid my respect to those who contributed to make the names of Holocaust victims to be forever remembered, as it grew tenfolds" Prime Minister mentioned.
At the sacred places, Moldova's delegation met a guide who spoke Romanian.
The officials have bowed and prayed at Jesus Christ's Burial Tomb.
The official visit to Israel will end today.
Among the most important subjects discussed there were launching low-cost airlines and signing Agreement protecting citizens of Moldova who work there, for them to be able to gain a pension.
