Slav communities from Moldova celebrate Maslenita, today. In Cunicea village from Florsti district gathered a lot of people from 20 villages to participate at the festival. They were met with delicious pancakes, after what started the parade of the traditional suits.

"We prepare pancakes with fish, jam and caviar.".

The guests of the festival received hot tea.

At the festival there was an exhibition of the holiday's symbols.

"Everybody has colored their check. This is how we celebrate Maslenita. The brooms are the symbol of this holiday."

People say that the fest is a good reason to meet their relatives.

"It is a good reason to meet my friends and talk with them."

"Today we have fun and tomorrow we start the religious diet and we won't eat dairy products and meat."

"People are religious in our community. They are preparing for the religious died.

Maslenita fest is organized in Cunicea for the fifth year.
