Democrat Marian Lupu to confront with Socialist Igor Dodon in second round of presidential race
The Socialists' leader Igor Dodon will clearly run in the second round of the presidential elections. The fight is waged now for the second position. There, PDM president Marian Lupu tops DA Party leader Andrei Năstase and PAS leader Maia Sandu. These are the results of an opinion poll presented today by Intelect Group.
According to the research, if presidential elections were held next Sunday, the Socialists’ leader would garner 33.5 % of votes.
The PDM president would gain 12.7 % of the Moldovans determined to go to polls.
Both politicians surged in opinion polls, as sociologists explain the trend by the fact they have conducted active and attractive campaigns.
On the hand, Maia Sandu and Andrei Năstase have been more concerned with identifying a joint candidate, being passive in campaigning.
