Denim Day. Policemen from Moldova wear jeans today
Today, the whole world celebrates Denim Day. This is why, the policemen from the Republic of Moldova wear jeans and support the victims of the sexual abuse.
Alexandru Panzari, the chief of the police, Grigore Moga, Daniela Buzatu came up with a solidarity message for these victims.

Denim Day was firstly celebrated in Rome, where in 1992, a 45 year old auto instructor was accused of abusing a 18 year old girl who was doing the practice. The girl announced her parents, who supported her and complained to the police.
Even if the suspect was sentenced, in 1998, the Supreme Court changed the sentence, as the girl was wearing skinny jeans and the man could'n take off her clothes without her help. The magistrates mentioned that suspect is not guilty, as she took off her clothes all by herself.
The second day, the women from the Italy Parliament were wearing jeans at the legislative session, to pledge against the decision of the Supreme Court.
In 2018, the Denim Day will be celebrated for the 19th time.
