Deputy Director of Patrol Service from Police Department of Cahul was taken into custody by  Anticorruption officers and attorneys, for bribery.

The man of law supposedly accepted 2.000 lei for the release of a car, previously seized by the Police.

The National Anticorruption Center have opened a case and after searching the office, managed to find other money supposedly given to him by benefactors.

Now he is taken into 72 hours custody and if found guilty risks to spend the next 10 years behind bars, with deprivation from having certain functions.

In 2016 the Anticorruption Center arrested 49 policemen, including 12 investigator for bribery.
