Dozens of people participated at meeting to support Russian language in Basarabeasca
Dozens of people participated at a protest to support the Russian language in Basarabeasca. It was organized by the "For the Russian language" group, supported by socialists. At the end, the persons who came at the protest signed a resolution that indents to present the authorities and the international structures for the human rights.
"It is a shame to live in Moldova and not to speak the Moldovan language. -Did you come here to support the Russian language? -Yes, I am a Moldovan, but I speak in Russian."
"We want to translate the Education Code into Russian. Also, we want to have the receps to the drugs to be in Russian", said Mihail Ahremtev, the president of the initiative group.
The protest was supported by the members of the Socialist party.
"We are speaking Russian since we are children. This is why we need this language", said Petru Puscari, the president of Basarabeasca.
The officials from Comrat also came at the protest.
"What did we see at the Constitutional Court is not right", said Alexandru Suhodloschii, the deputy president of Comrat Popular Meeting.
At the same time, the status of the Russian language has not been changed.
