An unusual meeting took place in Măgdăceşti, Criuleni. Dozens of future mothers have met during an event, where they had the chance to speak with experts and gain useful information regarding the first months of pregnancy.

The event for pregnant women was organized by the Odoraş.md portal, with the support of Vlad Plahotniuc's foundation "Edelweiss". One of them has been gifted a set with products an infant will need.

Eugenia Efros is currently on her 41st week and claimed that soon those presents will come in handy.

"I am very grateful for this. We are content. At the 41st week we are ready, just need to wait for the right time to come" Eugenia Efros, employee from Măgdăceşti village said.

"Edelweiss foundation has a noble aim, to take care of a new life. When a young family has their first child, there are many things they need, many investments. Therefore, each gift is welcomed" organizer Dorina Osipov declared.

Future mothers have gained multiple pieces of advice from doctors, to be ready for when the big day arrives.

"We spoke of the first days of an infant. What we do with the new born in the maternity ward, what tests are done. We spoke of the transition of the fetus from intrauterine life, already to the child, to extrauterine life", Pediatrician Victoria Sisoev said.

The women were also informed of the first symptoms of illness the little ones might show, how to feed and dress them correctly.

"It is my first pregnancy, so I find any information very interesting" a woman attending the event said.

"It will benefit the future parents. We have found out much information from experts"  another woman attending the event said.

The event was attended by around 200 women.
