Driver from Leova Prosecutor's Office detained by CNA officers for influence peddling
A driver working in the Prosecutor's Office of Leova district was detained by CNA officers and anti-corruption prosecutors.
The man aged 61 had taken a bribe of 1,000 euros in exchange for the promise to influence a prosecutor in Leova.
According to the informant, the driver would have promised that the penal investigation started on drunk driving will be terminated.
The man was detained while receiving money and is under investigation for influence peddling.
He faces a fine of up to 200,000 lei or up to six years in prison.
