E-Commerce required to conceal customer's personal data and keep ordered product's prices
Online store administrators will be required not to disclose the customer's personal data and change the price of the ordered product.
Some amendments to the law on electronic commerce were already published in the Official Gazette and will come into force in May.
Accordingly, online service providers will be required to comply with the confidentiality regime.
"The obligation is not to distribute or disseminate personal data without the consent of the consumer. We know that usually many business people borrow personal mail, telephone for further commercial offers," said the Consumer Protection Agency inspector, Nicolae Olarasu.
Complaints about e-commerce have been sent to the Consumer Protection Agency daily. Most of them are related to product quality or price change after product orders.
