"People forget to turn off the lights when they no longer need them. At least once a year, if we think how much energy we use and the damage it causes the earth, it would be great."
Earth Hour is an international event that takes place on the last Sunday of March. During this time, people have to turn off all lights for 60 minutes. Therefore, if all costumers of Gas Natural Fenosa would stop using electricity for an hour, it would save around 900 000 kilowatts. It would protect the earth from another 500 tonnes of harmful gases. Earth Hour took place for the first time in Sydney, Australia, on March 21 2007.
