Easter celebration has already begun in the Capital. In front of the Nativity Cathedral a fair was opened, where people can purchase various goods.
Since morning, people came to buy paska, tsoureki and rolls:
"I purchased a few tsourekis, smaller one for children and bigger for parents."
"I bought two tsourekis and two rolls. With chocolate, raisins, white chocolate, black chocolate."
Vendors claim that prices are reasonable:
"Prices begin from 15, 20 lei for small pastry and rise to 120 lei for a pastry that weighs over 1 kg."
"The tsoureki is made in the traditional way, from scratch."
People who wish to purchase decoration can also visit the City Hall. There, citizens can visit an expo of handmade items created by children from poor families. The first customers being the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Capital.
"I got some items for my daughter and colleagues. They are beautifully made and very impressing considering that they were made by children" Deputy Mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu said.
Children declared that they worked hard and are happy to have the chance to earn some money:
"I used blue and white to represent the sky."
"It is very pleasant to see your work being purchased, it means that someone appreciated it."
Easter Fairs are organized in all sectors of the Capital and will be opened to April 7.
