Economic Upward Forecast in Moldova. 4% GDP rise every year
Moldova's economy will see progress in the coming years.
On average, GDP is forecast to grow by 4% annually, likewise, exports and imports will follow an upward trend. These optimistic forecasts are in the medium-term budgetary framework recently approved by the Government.
GDP is forecast to increase by 4.5% and exceed 148 billion lei this year.
A year later, economic growth will be a bit slower, at 3.5% annually.
In the next two years, the upward trend will continue, and the advance will be 4 per cent per year. In 2020, the GDP value will reach 192 billion lei.
Inflation rate is forecast 5.5% this year and 5.9% in 2018.
In the next two years, it will fall slightly and reach up to 5% in 2020.
Similarly, during this period, exports will gradually increase. In 2017, the volume of foreign sales will reach 2.25 billion dollars, and in 2020 it will be about 500 million dollars higher.
Increase in import is also registered. Import products worth $ 4.35 billion is forecast in 2017. In 2020, the volume of imports will reach up to 5.25 billion dollars.
Wage rise is forecast as well. While in 2017 the average salary is 5600 lei, by 2020, the authorities intend to increase it to 7300 lei.
