Education Ministry held a series of activities dedicated to Children's Day
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research organized on Saturday a series of cultural - educational activities dedicated to the International Children 's Day. The feast started with a circus show for pupils with remarkable learning outcomes, children from disadvantaged families, single parents, etc.
The event took place in the large arena of the Circus in Chisinau. The circus show included dressed crocodiles, gymnastics and air acrobatics, juggling, hula-hoop and clowns.
Alongside children and parents, Minister Monica Babuc was present at the show and addressed a congratulatory message on the occasion of the International Children's Day.
"Childhood is the most beautiful and beloved stage of life, the most sincere feeling and the most jovial smile. That's why, dear children, enjoy and live every emotion with your parents and grandparents. Have a beautiful day! ", the official said.
In order to complete the holiday atmosphere, eventually the organizers and partners of the event offered the children sweets.
Also on this day, the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and Republican Center for Children and Youth Artico organized a celebration dedicated to International Day in the Stefan cel Mare and Sfânt Public Garden in Chisinau, with the title "A Day Through the World".
During the event, creative workshops, master-class activities, dance battles, karaoke shows, etc. were organized. The children had the opportunity to travel imaginary around the world, to know the values, culture and traditions of many unknown or little-known countries, through the traditional port, dance, music, national holidays, sports, gastronomy, etc.
At the events in the Public Garden "Stefan cel Mare" participated also the minister Monica Babuc, who urged the children to enjoy this beautiful day, including from the perspective of various educative and creative activities organized for them so as to discover new interesting things about other peoples and cultures of the world.
International Day of Child is celebrated in the Republic of Moldova and in other 50 countries on 1 June. For the first time, Child's Day was mentioned at the World Conference on the Protection and Welfare of Children, held in Geneva in August 1925. Then, 54 representatives from different countries adopted the Child Protection Declaration.
