Eight cities from Moldova will benefit from Polish grants. The money are provided for landscaping

Eight cities from the country will receive nearly 10 million lei, grants from the Polish government for rehabilitation and refurbishment works. The mayors of the winning localities have to contribute with a share of the necessary funds.
The city of Ialoveni is one of the localities that will benefit from a financial support of two million lei. The contribution of local councils is of 700,000 lei from internal resources.
"We are going to rehabilitate the School of Arts by changing the roof, changing the roof and organizing an interesting indoor climate, with the organization of the adjacent territories", said Radu Chilaru, Deputy Mayor of Ialoveni, the planting of trees, led and pavement lighting.
The building of the School of Arts was last renovated in 1976. The walls are broken, the furniture is damaged, and the windows and the heating system have not been changed at all.
The administration of the institution looks forward to finish the work.
"We have over 350 children attending the School of Arts from the 18 villages of Ialoveni district. We are very glad that thanks to this project the next young generation will benefit from decent conditions in this school", said Natalia Proca, deputy director of the School of Arts in Ialoveni.
The project on the revitalization of Polish-supported cities is at the second stage. Financial support will also benefit: Soroca, Ocnita, Cimislia, Ungheni, Causeni, Briceni and Ialoveni. Last year, similar help received six cities.
"We have built several playgrounds, fitness, for children, elderly, various ages, we have made several pedestrian tracks, for cyclists, we have placed a free wifi area", said Constantin Cojocaru, Mayor of Edinet.
According to Polish partners, the cooperation between Moldova and Poland will continue next year.
"There are a lot of people, very hardworking and very clever, who have the desire to do it. They may not have enough experience, maybe they do not have enough means, let's talk and let's find some possibilities to change somehow the image of the country, let us all go for the better", said Bartlomiej Zdaniuk, the Ambassador of Poland to Chisinau.
