Eight new cases of African swine fever detected in Ştefan Vodă, Rezina and Cahul districts

Eight new cases of African swine fever were detected in the districts of Stefan Voda, Rezina and Cahul, four of them in wild boars. The presence of the virus was confirmed by laboratory analysis.
In the Palanca and Crocmaz villages of Stefan-Voda District three pigs were killed. Another case was recorded in the village of Zarnesti from Cahul District. And in this case the animal was incinerated.
According to the National Food Safety Agency, the smallest infected pig was 10 pounds, and the smallest pig was 180 pounds.
Also in the districts of Rezina, Cahul and Ştefan Voda there were four outbreaks of swine fever in wild boars.
The animals were found in the reed from the Dniester meadow, in these villages being declared quarantine.
All cars entering and leaving the village pass through the sanitary filters.
