Emergency physicians from Mihailovca village are now able to offer best treatment to their patients. They will no longer work in cold and even have a new ambulance. The unit was build from the funds offered by the state, over 4 million lei being spend. The doctors used to work in an old building.
The harsh conditions could be clearly felt during winter. For the past 25 years, they had to support the cold, work with worn furniture and without a bathroom.
"The conditions were awful. The was no heating. We had to kindle a fire. We didn't even had tap water" doctor Mariana Tecuţă said.
Vera Ţurcanu worked in this field for over 22 years.
"We lacked conditions. Yet we still did our best" Vera Ţurcanu said.
The unit even received a new ambulance.
"The old car was temperamental. Now it will be easier for us" Ambulance driver Oleg Ecuban said.
The emergency unit from Mihailovca will take care of 16 500 people from 9 villages from Cimislia.
"Nothing was done for our district since 1991 to 2016, but since 2016 we received a new Nursery and now an new Emergency unit" Mayor of Mihailovca village, Iurie Moraru said.
It is the third unit from Cimislia modernized within the National Emergency Development Program, claims democrat Boris Golovin, member of the parliamentary commission for social protection, health and family.
"The National Emergency Development Program was launched in 2016. I believe that Mihailovca village used to have the worst conditions from the Republic of Moldova" PDM deputy, Boris Golovin said.
The Emergency unit from Mihailovca became the 33rd one to be renovated over the past three years.
