The Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Monica Babuc announced on a social media page that, the 88 year old wife of Ion Druta, Era Samuilova Rosina died. 

After a six decade marriage, on November 24, she died.

"Sad news came last night from Moscow. Era Samuilovna Rosina, Ion Dura's wife died. A six decades marriage means more than a half of the century, this means two twin fates.A six decades marriage with an artist means she dedicated her life to the genius. This showed her deep feelings for him. Our condolences, Master", wrote Monica Babuc.

Era Samuilovna Rosina was the daughter of an Yiddish poet.

In 2011, one of Ion Druta's daughters died because of cancer.
