EU - loyal partners for Moldova's exports and imports
Value of export to EU countries amounted to 542 million dollars in January-May 2017, 15% increase compared to the same period of 2016.
The main partners in export market are Romania, Italy, Germany, UK, Bulgaria, Poland, France.
Imports of goods from EU countries amounted to over 877 million dollars, 17% rise compared to period January-May 2016. Moldova mainly import goods from Romania, Germany, Italy and Poland.
Over 8 thousand tons of unprocessed cereals were exported. Between January and June, about 40 per cent of table grapes were exported out of a total of 10 thousand tons, apples 25 per cent of 10 thousand tons. However, no plum exports were registered in the EU market.
Concerning the tariff concessions granted on import of goods from the EU for the period January-June, there is a slight increase in imports in all positions except for pork and processed meat products. Moldova also imported poultry and pork, dairy products, processed products and sugar.
