EU to provide Moldovan entrepreneurs with five million euros for Danube programme 2014-2020
The European Union will provide financing worth five million euros for projects aimed at transferring knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit in the Danube region, conserving the natural and cultural heritage, promoting energy efficiency. The government today approved a draft law on the ratification of the Agreement on the Danube Transnational Programme 2014-2020, which sees this financing.
The document was signed by the Moldovan government, European Union and Hungarian National Economy Ministry in Chisinau on 15 December. The non-refundable financial assistance will be provided from accounts of the European Neighbourhood Instrument, worth 268.7 million euros in all.
The eligible beneficiaries for submitting project proposals can be local/national public authorities, non-governmental organizations, education institutions, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, etc.
