Eugen Sturza met his Romanian colleague, Mihai Fifor to discuss army partnership between Moldova and Romania
The Minister of Defense, Eugen Sturza had a meeting with his colleague from Bucharest, Mihai Fifor.
The officials discussed about the bilateral cooperation on military sector, the development perspectives of the relations between Moldova and Romania and the collaborations between the international organizations.
Eugen Sturza thanked the Romanian Government for the contribution on the reform in the defense sector, within the Consolidation Initiative of the Defense Capacity. The Defense Ministry appreciated the activity of the mixed Moldo-Romanian Commission in the defense sphere.
Eugen Sturza referred to the education opportunities for the Moldovan military in the educational institutions from Romania and within the bilateral and multinational institutions.
At his turn, Mihai Fifor said that between those two states exist good relationship of cooperation within the defense sphere, mentioning that Romania will support Republic of Moldova in the finalization of the reform of the National Army.
Eugen Sturza and Mihai Fifor convened to the fact that the intensification of the military cooperation in 2018. In this sense, Sturza invited his colleague in Moldova.
At the end of the meeting, the two officials inaugurated the sculpture "Efigii voievidale", realized by Valentin Tanase, director of the Art and Plastic Studio. The sculpture was placed in front of the Defense Ministry. The sculpture immortalizes six big rulers and kings: Mircea cel Bătrân, Vlad Ţepeş, Ştefan cel Mare, Mihai Viteazul, Alexandru Ioan Cuza and Carol I.
It is important to mention that Eugen Sturza is in Bucharest now, because of his participation at the Parade of the Romanian Army Day.
