A group of experts from European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines in order to assess the Quality control laboratory of Medicine and Medical Devices Agency.

If it passes, it will gain access to the European network of official medicines control laboratories (OMCL).

CEO of Medicine and Medical Devices Agency, Vladislav Zara, has declared that this might become a possibility for local pharmaceutical manufacturers to be more competitive on the European market, while the control over medicine sold in Moldova will become more efficient.

"For the past 2 year the association has made a lot of efforts in order to fit the European markets,  with legislation being changed and reforms implemented. We have already signed agreement with Lithuania and Poland within the "Twinning" project. Now we are doing everything to gain access to the European network and quality control" Vladislav Zara said.

European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines's laboratories in collaboration with the EU have exchange knowledge and promoted the development of certain standards.
