PDM greets European Parliament's interest in Republic of Moldova and the debates from Strasbourg.

"The discussion had various opinions, but it is encouraging that the majority has sided with Republic of Moldova and have shown support for its European integration and the 100 million euro macro financial assistance.

We are glad to say that Moldova's progress was recognized- including its economic growth, institutional modernization and the newly adopted legislation, as stated by European Union Association Agreement.

As European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides stated, the partnership between Europe and Moldova is increasing the citizen's living conditions- an opinion we fully agree upon. We also agree that Moldova still has issues that needs to be solved, but with EU support, it can be done."

At the same time the macro financial assistance is required for Republic of Moldova not only to implement reforms and continue on its European path, but also to ensure the country's security. We understand that Moldova's democratic future and prosperity can only exist with European Union's support.

PDM, as one of the main parties from Moldova, has taken upon itself the responsibility to ensure that the country continues to lean toward Europe, by promoting modernization, independence of justice department, fighting against corruption, making the administration more efficient, ensuring citizen's freedom and creating a favorable environment for business development. PDM also declared that all their resources are used in ordered to make sure Moldova follows an European Path.

The debates from Strasbourg were also attended by Republic of Moldova's Minister of Justice, Vlad Cebotari and deputy Sergiu Sîrbu, who are both members of the Democratic Party.
