European Union changed car labeling system

The European Union has changed the car labeling system. Starting today, in all EU countries, gasoline, diesel and alternative fuel will have unique differentiated symbols only depending on the amount of ethanol and biodiesel included.
Thus, for octane fuel 95 and 98 petrol, which have 5 percent ethanol, gas stations will display the E5 symbol in a circle. For 95 or 98 petrol with 10 percent ethanol, the symbol is E10 surrounded. For diesel with 7 percent biodiesel, the symbol is B7, and for the 10 percent biodiesel, B10, in one square.
Labeling also changes for alternative fuels: liquefied petroleum gas will be identified by the LPG symbol in a diamond and natural gas compressed by the CNG symbol.
The measure applies to all 28 EU countries, but also to Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.
