In the past years, the relationship between the European Union and Moldova have developed considerably an it had a great influence on the development of the national economy.

EU is the main trading partner of our country, and the volume of goods exported to the EU countries increases from year to year. The statistics show that the last year, almost 66% of all Moldovan exports came to the European Union market. The value of the goods delivered amounted to 1 billion 600 million USD, up to 20 percent in comparison with 2016.

The goods produced in our country are increasingly demanded in Austria and Spain, where exports increased by 50 percent. Moldovan products are also pleasing to the Poles, Germans and Romanians.

The European Union is also the main investor in the Republic of Moldova with a 60% share. In our country there are companies such as Orange, Groupe Societe Generale, Banca Transilvania, Lafarge, Metro, Sudzucker and companies in the automotive industry. The EU is also one of the largest donors in our country.

The amounts allocated to date are close to one billion euros. With the support of the European Union, several reform programs, business development projects and infrastructure modernization have been carried out.
